Hotel accommodation is officially classified with one to five stars, depending on the facilities they offer, rather than their price. Note that hotels within the same category can vary considerably in quality and comfort. A rough guide to room rates is shown below:

3. Holiday Lets in Spain - Rental Accommodation

We would strongly recommend that you consider renting an apartment of house for your stay. It can generally work out cheaper, but it must be noted, that these are normally private properties and are self catering only. They are usually to a high standard.

It’s relatively easy to find somewhere to rent for up to two months. Many property owners rent their property for six month periods during the winter and spring, and then for short periods (usually a week) in the summer in order to maximise their rental return.

Short-term rentals are very expensive, particularly in the summer when a two bedroom apartment can cost from €300 a week and a villa from €700.

Finding Accommodation:

Some companies specialise in rental accommodation specifically for house-hunters or those waiting for a property to be built and who need somewhere to live for up to three months. Most advertise in the local press.
